Mentoring is more important than ever.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is on a mission to serve youth facing adversity in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties by providing our best-in-class mentoring program. Our youth have BIG vision, and it takes a Big Village to help them reach their potential.

In 2023 we provided mentorship to over 1,500 Milwaukee and Waukesha youth, an increase of over 40% from the year before. As our impact grows, so does the need. This year, we'll have over 1600 Littles in our program, and our long term plan is to nearly double that, with over 3,000 mentored youth by 2030.

$10/month: Fund enriching experiences for matches

  • Supports the cost for a Big and Little to attend a BBBS sponsored event
  • Food brings people together and your donation will ensure we can feed our matches when they attend one of our special events
  • A variety of experiences are offered in MentorZone or around the city with one of our partners

$20/month: Celebrate Match Anniversaries which include

  • Dessert and refreshments
  • Reflection & future planning activities
  • Creates meaningful memories that strengthen match retention

$35/month: Support mentor 2.0 curriculum & facilitation

  • College & Career readiness curriculum for high school youth
  • Correspondence that builds and strengthens the relationship on MentorHub, the communication platform for m2.0 matches
  • Monthly dinners for m2.0 matches

$50/month: Ensure Youth Protection and Well Being

Covers the cost of background checks, including fingerprinting, for a new mentor.

Supports comprehensive youth protection protocols, including regular check-in calls with youth, families, and mentors.

$100/month: Keep MentorZone thriving

  • Supports operational costs like utilities, rent, and staffing in MentorZone.
  • Transportation and parking fees associated with program participants coming to MentorZone
  • Supplies for fun and educational activities
