In fall of 2022, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee reinforced our focus on social emotional development by implementing a new Group Facilitated Mentoring program called MentorYou. This program serves elementary students from low-income families and utilizes an evidenced-based curriculum that focuses on the five social emotional learning competencies:

• Self Management
• Self Awareness
• Social Awareness
• Relationship skills
• Responsible Decision Making

In addition, MentorYOU provides engaging activities in the classroom facilitated by our Mentoring and Education Coordinator that promote, practice, and encourage the students' growth, development, management, and awareness.
